"We’re all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that’s all."

I’ve really been in the mood to bake for the past week. Perhaps because I have nothing better to do with my life lately or maybe just to prove to myself that I’m somewhat domesticated. Anyways, I just made these yesterday and at they are by far the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. Of course I’m a coconut fanatic so I guess that changes things but they were seriously good. And I guess I’m a little biased since I did make them, but my parents and neighbors loved them too. I think they’re going to enjoy my baking phase! I’m definitely making these again soon!

Nailed to the Cross by Carrie E. Breck

There was One who was willing to die in my stead, That a soul so unworthy might live; And the path to the cross He was willing to tread, All the sins of my life to forgive.

He is tender and loving and patient with me, While He cleanses my heart of the dross; But “there’s no condemnation” — I know I am free, For my sins are all nailed to the cross.

I will cling to my Savior and never depart—I will joyfully journey each day. With a song on my lips and a song in my heart, That my sins have been taken away.

They are nailed to the cross, They are nailed to the cross, O how much He was willing to bear! With what anguish and loss Jesus went to the cross! But He carried my sins with Him there.

"This is what I like about photographs. They’re proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect."

-Jodi Picoult, Lone Wolf (via simply-quotes)

I’m a terrible person

but I can’t be the only one who gets pissed off when girls post headshots of themselves on facebook with captions like “no makeup ugh” or “just woke up”. You might as well make the caption “tell me I’m pretty” because we all know that’s what you’re after anyways. I think I’m gonna start agreeing with people. ” You’re right, you do look rough.”
